Private Arkansas funeral owners expand and purchase another private funeral home in a neighboring town.

Arkansas funeral home owners Scott and Paula Berna have acquired another funeral home in the city of Rogers, adding another facility to their two other homes based in Fayetteville.

The home that has been purchased is Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services, which was founded in 2001, by the Stockdale and Moody families. Elvis and Jan Moody became the sole owners of the home in 2010, and business became known as Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services.

Mr. & Mrs. Moody will now be retiring and state in their release “Jan and I are excited the business will continue with local ownership and operation in the tradition of family-oriented service we’ve created at Stockdale-Moody,”

The Bernas should be a great fit for the community with their plethora of experience in maintaining a legacy of great death care services. Their other two funeral home properties are both rich in history. The Nelson-Berna Funeral Home, which they purchased in 2002, dates back to the 1930s, and Moore’s Chapel, which they purchased in 2010, is a historical landmark dating back to 1889.

New owner Scott Berna said he and his family along with their staff are looking forward to the opportunity to serve families in the region. They are already familiar with the area as they have managed the cemetery at Pinnacle Memorial Gardens and hunt chapel since 2012. As well as owning the Fairview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
