Nirvana Funeral Home’s overseas expansion will open in Cabuyao City Philippines, and is expected to be the first of many. The company will be competing against a few funeral giants and a plethora of family owned funeral homes.

Executive Director, Ng Wei Yuan has great ambitions and plans to further extend its chain in the Philippines.

High End offerings

In Singapore, Nirvana Funeral Home offers funeral packages ranging from $20,800 SGD ($15,253 USD, €27,989 EUR) to $30,800 SGD ($22,597 USD, €20,534 EUR) which is on the high end as funeral costs in the Philippines are normally averaging at $9,000 USD (€8,178 EUR). 

Current Philippines death care landscape 

The Philippines has a population of over a hundred million people. With a strong preference for burials as there is a 4% muslim population and 92% Christian population, which both have prefence of burial. The funeral industry in the Philippines is continuing to grow and there is a fairly mixed landscape of both large corporations and family owned funeral homes. One of the biggest local players today is Cosmopolitan Funeral Homes which offers full service burials, cremation and aftercare.
